I saw this place on Google Maps by accident and went to check it out on the same day. I was really excited, thinking I’d find a nice pull up bar for muscle ups.
Disappointingly, the rig is not as versatile as it looks. It’s good for only pull ups, dips and levers.
It may appear that the some bars could be used for muscle ups but they are too thick in reality. Good for bars rolls, hanging leg raises and grip strength in general though.
The two Swedish walls are probably the best part about it. I could see myself doing the human flag on them.
Or I might not bother with it and head straight to Norma Hutchinson which is still the number one calistenics park in Leeds and has nearly everything an advanced practitioner would need.
Despite my criticism towards this functional training rig located at LS5 3QE, I would like to sincerely thank the council for putting it there and I’m sure it’ll make a lot of kids and adults strong.
